Petting Zoo

Brayden loves animals and he gets so excited when we go on walks and he sees a dog or cat. Due to our small apartment lifestyle we do not currently own any pets. A few weeks ago we found a Groupon deal for a petting zoo down in San Juan Capistrano. Today (Saturday) after Cameron's morning class and Brayden's noon nap we decided to go. Overall we thought the zoo was well worth the few dollars it cost to get in.

Brayden was able to play with and feed multiple bunnies, guinea pigs (his favorite), chickens, goats, cows, lamas, sheep, ponies, pigs, etc... Every time an animal would eat from his hand he would throw his arms in the air and say "Yeah"...he was so proud.

This activity was very relaxing since you could just sit and watch as your child ran around feeding and petting animals. Before we left we let Brayden ride the train. The only thing we didn't let Brayden do was ride the pony. We felt like he wouldn't really like it at his age.

Highlights of the trip:
*The goats jumping on Cameron
*Brayden talking to the bunnies and guinea pigs as he fed them
*Brayden missing the bunnies mouths and accidentally poking them in the head with carrots
*Cameron letting three goats out of their pen
*Brayden chasing the chickens around
*Brayden tasting some of the bunny food
*Brayden making the different animal noises
*Brayden covering the small animals with hay
