Sea World

During one of the first years Cameron and I moved to California we purchased a season pass to Sea World. The two main reasons why we did this were because the LA temple was closing for a long period of time for renovations and we thought we could enjoy going to the San Diego temple. The second reason was because if you purchased one day you got the rest of the year free. Anyway, we enjoyed that year going to the temple in the morning eating lunch and then changing and going to Sea World for a few hours. We would sometimes make San Diego a weekend trip and spend the night in a fun hotel and do some shopping as well.

Now its 2011 and we have two kids. I still think its a little crazy that I have two. We heard from a friend that Sea World has a Sesame Street Bay of Play. We knew how much Brayden loves Elmo and decided to do a mini vacation down to San Diego.

We stayed two nights in the Hilton in Del Mar and went to Sea World two days and the San Diego Zoo the last day before we came home. The trip was fun but soooo much more work with young children. We were lucky that school is back in session so the park wasn’t busy at all. We saw almost every show and visited the few exhibits we wanted to see and then just let Brayden play and run around.

Kate was a trooper as always during the whole thing. She is such a sweet little girl who seems to be happy wherever we are. Brayden is at such a cute age. He seems to be picking up on so many new words everyday. He is still a little stinker sometimes and is everywhere. We are happy to say we only lost him once at Sea World—only for 15 seconds!

Enjoy the Sea World pictures below:

(I will post the rest of our trip photos later)

Don't be fooled by the pictures... Brayden loved Elmo and even gave him a high-five!

Kate and daddy watching Brayden play.

All of the Elmo souvenirs Brayden thought he needed after the very exciting Elmo show.
(We did end up buying him an Elmo cup and a Shamu squeaky toy).
