Our drive to Utah was great. Brayden was a trooper... we didn't even have to pull out the DVD player until southern Utah. This was our longest drive to Utah ever with the extra stops to eat and let Brayden run around but we were in no rush. We left California at 4:00am and arrived at my parents house around 7:00pm (we also made one stop in Cedar Hills to visit Cameron's sister along the way).
The next day was Christmas Eve which we spent with my family. Christmas was fun in Utah and it ended up not even being that cold. The Sunday following Christmas we went to my cousin's welcome home in Preston, Idaho. We braved the Idaho roads... (I wish Idaho and Wyoming roads were as clear as Utah roads). The next Monday I got some bug from some sick person I happened to be around and was sick for the next three days. After I was starting to feel a bit better Brayden got sick. Getting sick wasn't part of our plans. We had planned on leaving Brayden with my mother on Monday and me and Cameron had a Hotel in Salt Lake for the night. We planned on going and seeing the lights, eating a nice dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial building and shopping. None of that ended up happening and instead we went to the instacare in Logan.
On Thursday we packed our things and headed to Wyoming to see Cameron's parents for New Years. It was freezing in Wyoming. It seemed to be Negative 8 degrees every morning we were there. We survied the cold, horrible winds and the not so great Wyoming roads.
On Saturday we went back to Salt Lake to redeem our hotel we still hadn't used. The next morning we made it to my niece Gabriella's baby blessing and luncheon. We then packed our things and headed to St. George. Brayden was a little irritable from the lack of sleep and we were all ready to get out of the car. We stayed in a nice hotel in St. George and payed extra to get a family suite so Brayden could have his own room. It was worth the extra money to have Brayden sleep through the night.
Monday we headed back to LA. The drive was fine but we were all very sick of the car by this point. The drive really wasn't bad until the last hour. We decided that we will not do that drive again for a long, long time.
That was our trip... not super eventful but it was fun to see family and friends.

You are so brave to do all that driving with Brayden. What a tropper! Those roads are crazy in Wyoming!!!
Glad you're home safe. Last summer, I drove to Logan with the boys, and that alone was too long of a trip. Brayden is a seasoned traveler now.
Woah! You are a tropper, that would be quite the trip. Kinda a bummer that you got sick. Jed and I had a family Christmas party so we couldn't make it to Gabby's blessing, it would have been great to see you! I bet you are glad to be back home.
